Things to Bring on Your Vacation

To enjoy your vacation in undeveloped countries, you need to ensure that you carry everything you’ll need. Being to prepare early so that you can have ample time to remember everything you cannot do without. Different destination will require different needs and this means you need to have some little knowledge of how the country is when packing. Here are some of the common things you need to bring on your vacation:


If there are medications you’ve been taking and cannot survive without them, ensure that you get enough drugs before you travel. You can also get some pain relievers, sunscreen, anti-itching cream, gauze, alcohol swabs, and some antibiotics to cater for any medical emergencies. If you’ll need other medications, you can buy them from a local pharmacy when the need arises.


The clothes you’ll bring when going for your vacation will depend on your destination and the season at that time. If the weather is sunny, get a good hat and some sunglasses to protect yourself from sunburns. You also need a sweater, socks, and a scarf for the cold evenings so that you don’t suffer from cold-related illnesses.

For those times that you’ll need to wear a fancy dress for your evening out, get some wrinkle resistant dresses. You can also get cheap jewelry to complement your outfit and make you look classier. For the best experiences in any destination, ensure that you get loose fitting clothes as they will remain comfortable however cold or hot it will be.

Personal Effects

Do not forget to carry items such as shampoo, bathing soap, conditioner, lotions, toothpaste, toothbrush,  mirror, hair clip if you are a lady, and floss. If you have a favorite perfume or any other personal item you cannot do without, do not forget to pack it. There are items such as toothbrush and toothpaste that you can easily find in local shops and to avoid carrying too much stuff, you can opt to buy them when you get to your destination. 


It is important to note that in most underdeveloped countries, you will not be able to use items such as hair dryers, or curling irons. The only electronics you can use in underdeveloped countries are those indicated 100 to 240 vac.

Carry your iPod’s charger, laptop, and a surge protector. You can also get a universal adapter that has a USB connection and ensure that your phone, iPad, and camera can fit into your USB. If your electronic gadgets have a short battery life, carry your power extender.

Flash Light or a Headlamp

In most underdeveloped countries, electricity is not reliable. To get through those moments when there is no electricity, you should get a flashlight or even a headlamp which you’ll use to read or to get around. 


There are times when you’ll be stuck in a place where you may not get the food that you want or where there is no food at all. During these times, you’ll need something to keep you going until you can get a good restaurant. Snacks will also be important if you are traveling with your kids since they will need to keep snacking. If you don’t do this, you will be forced to cut short your fun activity to get some food for your kids.
